WELCOME

Welcome to the Disciples Church App!

This App is designed to help you know about Disciples Church, to know what's happening within the church, and to communicate with people from the church.

We are constantly updating the App to improve the user experience, so please don't hesitate to gives us any helpful feedback.

Below is a summary of some of the features of the App, and where you can find things. Happy scrolling!

Red Section At The Top

In the top left you will find a hamburger symbol. Click on this to access a menu of options that should be self explanatory. The first time you open the App you will be invited to "Sign In". This sign in is not connected to our database. It is just so that we can prevent robots from getting access (yep, it happens apparently).

Other icons in the top red section let you access certain features. The one we'd like to highlight specifically is the messaging icon on the right hand side. This lets you access our message channels. These work kinda like group texts or a discussion on Facebook. Our Missional Community Groups all have a message thread, and so when you are getting connected at DC, and have been assigned to a group, the group leaders will add you to their thread (once you have signed in).

Carousel

The carousel at the top is there to give you quick access to things that are currently happening in the church, or things coming up soon.

Main Menu Tiles

Underneath the carousel, you can scroll down a series of menu tiles that give you information about the Church. The This Week tile gives you access to all the news and accouncements for the upcoming weekend. If you are new to DC, the New Here tile will give you access to everything you need to know about joining the church. The Our Docs tile at the bottom gives you access to all the forms, policies and reports that you may find useful from time to time.

Bottom Bar

The bottom menu bar gives you quick access to our sermon resources, the DC Life podcasts, a full list of our upcoming events, and en electronic version of the Bible. You can select the translation of the Bible you want to use (we normally use the New Living Translation NLT at Disciples Church), and there is also a daily Bible reading plan you can use in your devotional time.
