The Promised King

December 16, 2018 Preacher: Rich Priebbenow Series: The Crown of Christmas

Topic: Christmas Scripture: Isaiah 11:1–11:10

For over 3,000 years the Jewish people have waited for their Messiah, the great King God promised He would send. But when Jesus came, they didn't even recognise or receive Him. He didn't fit their paradigm.

What are your expectations of the promised King? Do they fit the picture painted in Scripture: a mighty King, powerful enough to set you free, to defeat your greatest, most powerful enemies and reign over the whole world?

Surely there is no better way to prepare out hearts for Christmas than to see our desperate need for this Messiah, long-promised in Scripture.
