Paul writes to Timothy as his prodigy takes on the task of pastoring the growing church at Ephesus. There are many issues to tackle - one being, who they should support with diaconal welfare.
When it came to widows, the criteria set down by Paul was linked to how faithful a woman had been while her husband was alive.
So what were these virtues? And how do they inform us about what being a woman of virtue looks like?
