The advent of Jesus is the culmination of God's grand plan of redemption for mankind. It was not random, but planned before the beginning of all time.
But it involved the greatest act of humility the world has ever seen: God coming to earth as a human being!
As we attend end-of-year Christmas parties, shop for Christmas presents, and prepare for some time off, it is fitting to be reminded to put everything into perspective, so we can keep Jesus at the centre of our celebrations.
