Topic: New Testament Scripture: 1 Corinthians 1:18–1:31
Often, our faith can be challenged by those who don't understand God's plan of redemption. It is now pretty common for university professors, journalists, and commentators to not only question Christianity but to write it off as being the equivilent of a fairy tale. Their pride in their worldly wisdom makes them see the Gospel as foolishness. But Paul tells the Corinthians that it is this "foolishness" that is the power of salvation. Gospel wisdom stands in direct contrast to worldly wisdom, as we see in this classic passage from 1 Corinthians.
