OUR MINISTRIES

All ministries of Disciples Church aim to point people to Jesus, to trust in Him as Saviour, to worship Him as Lord of everything, and to obey all His commands.

Children

At Disciples Church, our aim is to help parents in their God-given task of raising their children to know and trust in Jesus. The key support for this happens in our Missional Community Groups, and this is supplemented by these church wide initiatives:

Creche happens during the sermon time at our services and is for toddlers (ages 1-ish to 3).

DC Kids happens during the sermon time at our services and is for Primary Aged children. It uses the Gospel Story Curriculum to teach kids the Bible, and has a corresponding devotional for parents to use during the week.

Youth

Our ministry for High Schoolers has two objectives: we want to see teens come to know Jesus as their personal Saviour and Lord, and we want to see them discipled to follow Jesus faithfully.

CLUB is an event that is dedicated to proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ to teenagers. This happens every Friday night from 6:30pm to 8:30pm during school terms.

4Real is a follow-up ministry to Christian High School students to encourage them to live out their identity in Christ, to interact with the Bible in practical ways, and to live on mission for Jesus.

Camps are run each year to give High Schoolers an opportunity to have some fun and also to have some downtime to focus on the important things of life. These camps can often be life changing experiences.

Childsafe

Disciples Church uses the ChildSafe Risk Management system to ensue that our people and our activities are appropriate and approved. Safe people, doing safe programs in safe places.

Conferences

Every year, Disciples Church hosts four one day conferences on the subject of men, women, marriage and parenting. These days provide helpful teaching that links everyday life with our ambition to follow Jesus faithfully. Check out our events page to see future conference dates.

Biblical Counselling

At Disciples Church, we believe that the Bible speaks to all of life’s problems, but sometimes everyone needs the careful thought and prayerful wisdom of another who can help us make the connections that make a difference. We believe real and lasting change occurs when people know themselves and their problems within a living and vital relationship with Jesus Christ - this is the aim of Biblical counselling.
